The magazine "Drinks International" prepared an annual compilation of the best-selling alcohol brands in the world. Two Polish made it into the top 10.
Polish vodka seems to be popular all over the world. Amidst the compilation of Drinks International, which comprises a total of 32 positions, there were 7 brands from Poland, which are not necessarily controlled by Polish companies.
The Polish Żubrówka turned out to be fourth best. It was overtaken only by Smirnoff, Absolut and Hortyca. In 2016, consumers bought a total of 6.8 million boxes of Algae grass. The volume of vodkas recorded in the ranking was determined by the number of boxes sold containing 9 liters of the beverage.
Krupnik took seventh place with 4.4 million boxes sold. Between him and Żubrówka lay Chlebnyj Dar and Svedka. However, both brands have overtaken, among others, the Russian vodka Stolicznaja and Russian Standard.
Place 16 went to Soplica and 17 to Finlandia. The top 20 was completed by Żołądkowa Gorzka De Luxe. Sobieski took 25th place (the company that owns the brand is listed and one of the shareholders is Bruce Willis, who also advertises vodka). After Sobieski you can find in composition Żytniówka and Wyborowa and even further placed Eristoff, Talka, Bulbash and Poliakov.
